Brisket Grilled Cheese
I wasn't going to post this because come on, who posts a recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich? Well, I got so much feedback of people wanting to make this the next time they have leftover brisket and wondering why they'd never thought of it, I figured someone would benefit from this. So below is what is needed for a single sandwich.
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices leftover brisket
- 2 slices of cheese (I used an aged white cheddar and an extra sharp cheddar)
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
Heat your brisket in the microwave for 20 seconds. Heat butter in a frying pan on medium heat. Place one piece of bread onto melted butter, then layer the cheese/brisket/cheese/and bread again. Let it fry in the butter, checking after a couple minutes to make sure it's not burning. Turn over and do the same on the flip side. Cut in half and enjoy every single, smoky, cheesy bite.
*Served with the traditional tomato soup.
